Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Founded in 1935 in Akron, Ohio, A.A. today has over two million members in 180 countries.

A.A. in Pune completes fifty years in July 2026. To mark this historic milestone, we are hosting a special event for our friends and well wishers of the professional community.

Professionals often encounter the suffering alcoholic in places where A.A. is not present — in clinics, courtrooms, workplaces, counselling offices, and places of worship. Through informed professionals, alcoholics may be reached who might otherwise never find the programme, or they may be reached sooner. A simple referral to A.A. can be a life-changing event for someone struggling with alcoholism.

The event will feature a presentation on what A.A. is, how it works, and how professionals can use A.A. as a resource for those they serve. You will also hear first-hand accounts of recovery.
